THE LAMAR COUNTY COURTHOUSE IS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING INTO THE NEW LOCATION LOCATED AT 205 BUTLER CIRCLE SW, VERNON, AL. THE NEW LOCATION IS LOCATED BEHIND THE DOLLAR GENERAL MARKET ON HIGHWAY 18. COMMISISON, TAG, BOARD OF REGISTRARS, AND REVENUE OFFICES ARE ALL LOCATED AT THE NEW LACATION. THE PROBATE JUDGE IS LOCATED AT THE COURTHOUSE ON HIGHWAY 17.

PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT: A public meeting concerning the future of the Courthouse will be held at the Judicial building on March 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM. All Lamar County citizens are invited to attend.
